Dozens of Jews participated on Friday, March 10, in a demonstration in Rome against the judicial reform planned by Netanyahu’s far-right Israeli government.
This demonstration came in conjunction with the meeting of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, with the far-right Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, in Rome.
The demonstrators carried banners calling for democracy, while others described the plan to weaken the Israeli judiciary as “disgraceful.”
Meloni expressed Italy’s support for the Israeli occupation’s normalization agreements with several countries.
As well, Netanyahu invited Meloni to visit the Israeli occupation state in order to discuss how to strengthen relations.
