Munir al-Bursh, director of the Gaza Health Ministry, issued a heart-wrenching statement, revealing the grim reality faced by medical personnel and civilians in northern Gaza. “Many wounded have died before our eyes, and we couldn’t do anything for them,” al-Bursh conveyed, highlighting the severe limitations imposed on healthcare workers by the ongoing Israeli war against Gaza.
The dire situation has extended to burial practices, as hospitals have run out of coffins. Al-Bursh mentioned a desperate plea for residents to donate any fabric they can spare to prepare the dead. Palestinian health officials and the civil emergency service painted a harrowing picture, with dozens of bodies lying on roads and under rubble, inaccessible to rescue teams due to continuous strikes.
The relentless genocide in Gaza and lack of resources have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, making it nearly impossible for aid to reach those in dire need.
