Israel dropped several new evacuation orders, covering swaths of northern and central Gaza, including Maghazi, Zawaida, and Deir Al-Balah, within days, further shrinking the “humanitarian safe zone”.
The Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza has appealed to the United Nations to push Israel to stop repeated mass displacement of people because they have no option places to go for.
The recent call for international intervention follows Israel’s issuance of additional evacuation orders, which have significantly reduced the already limited “humanitarian zone” in Gaza by 11%.
The latest evacuations, which impact vast areas of northern and central Gaza, have forced the displacement of over 450,000 people in central Gaza alone.
This exacerbation of their plight has been described by the civil defense as a reopening of “wounds” previously inflicted.
In response, the civil defense has issued an urgent appeal to the United Nations and the International Court of Justice, condemning these actions as a breach of humanitarian law and calling for immediate intervention to halt such a policy.
These waves of displacement coincided with a surge in killing accross the Gaza Strip and a continuation of rounds of ceasefire talks in Doha.
Israel has committed more than five massacres in only 24 hours, killing over 50 Palestinians with death toll surpassed 40,074 since thr start of this war.
