The joint operations room of the Palestinian resistance stated on Thursday night 6 April 2023 that the incessant aggression of the Israeli occupation forces towards Al-Aqsa Mosque and its worshippers must stop.
The joint operations room added that the Israeli government must refrain from attempting to bring their own disputes on the people and sacred places of Palestine.
The joint room reaffirmed its readiness to confront and respond with all necessary force to any Israeli aggression, and to defend the Palestinian people wherever they may be.
Over the past two nights, Israeli occupation forces have used overwhelming force against Muslim worshippers as they attempted to pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. As reported by the Palestinian Red Crescent, six Palestinians were wounded in the assault yesterday.
Overnight on Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces forcefully stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, leading to numerous Palestinians being hurt and a large number of them being detained including women. The raid has been strongly disapproved by Arab and non-Arab countries.
Since Netanyahu formed a far-right and ultra-nationalist coalition last year, the area has seen a rise in tension. The Israeli police is now managed by Itamar Ben-Gvir, one of the most extreme members of Netanyahu’s cabinet, who had previously been found guilty of promoting racism and backing a terror group.
