DaysofPal — Israeli settlers carried out a series of attacks across several areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem on Wednesday evening, targeting Palestinian residents, their property, and agricultural resources, according to local officials and witnesses.
Two Palestinians were injured after settlers assaulted residents in the hamlet of Khirbet Yarza, east of Tubas in the northern Jordan Valley.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said its medical teams treated two injuries, including an elderly man, after settlers attacked local residents in the area.
According to the Red Crescent, settlers also assaulted its medical team while it attempted to reach the site to evacuate the wounded.
Mukhlis Masa’id, head of the local village council, said settlers stormed the residential area and attacked residents in their homes.
Moreover, Hassan Mleihat, general supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights and Targeted Villages, said a group of settlers entered the community and stormed homes belonging to the Al-Mahalis family in the northwest of Jericho during the evening meal at the end of the daily Ramadan fast.
In Salfit governorate, witnesses reported that a settler entered the area of Ezbet Maghar Al-Asmar in Wadi Qana, north of Deir Istiya, and vandalized a water meter belonging to local farmers.
The damage disrupted water supplies to surrounding agricultural lands, as part of the ongoing pressure on farmers aimed at forcing them out of the valley.
In the Nablus area, groups of settlers coming from nearby settlements built on the lands of Qusra and Jalud attacked Palestinians working on their farmland, leading to limited confrontations.
Settlers also threw stones at Palestinian vehicles near Za’atara checkpoint south of Nablus, smashing the windows of several cars and causing damage to their bodies.
Further south, in Masafer Yatta in the Hebron region, armed settlers chased shepherds in the Shaab Al-Butm area and prevented them from accessing grazing land, while threatening to open fire.
Residents say settlers are attempting to seize more pastureland in the area to expand nearby outposts.
Meanwhile in Jerusalem, Israeli occupation continued to close the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound to Muslim worshippers for the fifth consecutive day, allowing settler groups greater freedom of movement around its gates and within the Old City.
Settlers, accompanied by Israeli forces, also raided a pharmacy in the town of Anata, northeast of Jerusalem, searching the premises and causing damage to its contents.
In another incident, a group of settlers chased young Palestinians near Damascus Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City while shouting racist insults, as Israeli forces tightened restrictions on Palestinian merchants in the surrounding markets to secure small settler marches in the area.
