DaysofPal- A series of coordinated settler attacks targeted Palestinian property and homes across several areas of the occupied West Bank on Friday, in an escalation of violence carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
In the town of Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus, settlers set fire to the front section of a vehicle belonging to resident Ahmad Hamdan Ahmad after storming the southern part of the town, according to village council head Hafez Saleh. He added that the attackers also attempted to burn storage facilities and equipment owned by another resident, Hassan Asira.
Saleh said the assault extended to several homes located near a pastoral settlement outpost established on land classified as Area B. Settlers also targeted the town’s main water tank, disrupting access and preventing necessary maintenance work.
In the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, settlers attacked from the eastern side and detained several young men near a public park, according to local sources. The same sources reported that two vehicles were seized before the attackers withdrew, under the protection of Israeli forces.
The violence extended into the southern West Bank. Security sources confirmed that settlers entered the Khalayel al-Loz area, southeast of Bethlehem, and positioned themselves in an area known as “Bir al-Miyah” in a provocative move toward residents.
Earlier in the day, armed settlers coming from the settlement of Otniel set fire to two vehicles belonging to two brothers during an attack on homes in the Majd al-Ba’a area, west of Yatta.
These incidents come during a period of increasing settler and Israeli military attacks across the West Bank. Reported actions in recent weeks include home raids, uprooting of trees, and the demolition of agricultural structures and facilities, contributing to rising tensions across the territory.
