DaysofPal- The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, praised the missile strikes carried out by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Saturday evening, which targeted sites in Israel and resulted in casualties among Israeli settlers.
Abu Ubaida, the military spokesperson for the Brigades, expressed pride in the attacks in a statement published on his Telegram channel. He described the strikes as powerful and noted that they reached deep in Israeli territory using what he characterized as new tactical methods.
He said the attacks were a natural response to joint Israeli and American aggression against Iran, as well as to the ongoing violence against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Abu Ubaida added that Israel responds only to force, arguing that imposing a heavy cost is the only way to deter further military action. He warned that failing to do so would encourage continued escalation and aggressive policies across the region.
He also commended Iran’s role, describing the Islamic Republic as a forward line of defense for the Muslim world, and stated that those he referred to as aggressors would not succeed in breaking the will of the people.
The spokesperson called on people across the region to unite against a common enemy and to work collectively in support of key causes, foremost among them the liberation of Palestine.
In this context, Iranian missile fire struck the Arad area in the eastern Negev on Saturday evening, killing seven Israelis and injuring around 120 others, in addition to damaging approximately 20 buildings.
Another strike targeted the Dimona area in the Negev desert, leaving more than 51 people injured and causing the collapse of a building.
For its part, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned the United States and Israel of more difficult combat conditions in the coming phase. In a statement, it said intelligence and operational leadership had introduced new offensive tactics and advanced systems into the battlefield following an analysis of weaknesses observed during the early weeks of the war. It added that conditions are expected to become increasingly complex for Israel in the period ahead.
