Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
On Thursday morning, settlers, including the former Likud candidate for party leadership and right-wing MK Moshe Feiglin, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy security from the Israeli occupation police.
Al-Qastal website, which specializes in Jerusalem news, stated that a large group of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the early morning hours, guarded by the occupation police.
The news site pointed out that the settlers committed “blatant violations during their storming in their clothes that violate the sanctity of the place, and in public Talmudic rituals.”
Feiglin, during his storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, gave a television interview in its courtyards.
Feiglin is considered one of the extremist right-wing extremists who openly demand the demolition of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the “alleged temple” construction.
The settlers’ incursions usually take place in two periods of morning and afternoon prayers through the “Mughrabi Gate,” whose keys have been controlled by the Israeli authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967.
In conjunction with the settlers’ incursions; The occupation police tighten their restrictions on worshipers arriving at Al-Aqsa Mosque and detain their identities at the external gates.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is exposed almost daily to a series of incursions and violations by settlers, interspersed with provocations against Palestinian worshipers, arrests, and deportations from the mosque.
