The Israeli occupation forces today, Thursday, demolished three houses in the town of Sa’ir, east of Hebron (south of the occupied West Bank), under the pretext of building in Area C.
Local sources said that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the “Wadi al-Sharq” area in the town of “Sa’ir” in the early hours of Thursday morning.
They pointed out that the Israeli bulldozers began demolishing three houses, each consisting of three floors, owned by: Ahed Ali Yassin Jaradat, Jamal Muhammad Yassin Jaradat, and his brother.
They added that the Israeli occupation forces assaulted the citizens, and arrested two young men during the demolitions in the town.
The Israeli occupation has traditionally justified demolitions by building without a permit, and this is what the Palestinians, international institutions, and the United Nations refute, given that the Israeli occupation rarely approves requests for building permits in areas classified as “C,” which constitute 60 percent of the West Bank.
The Oslo Agreement (1995) between the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Israeli occupation classified the West Bank lands into three areas: “A” under full Palestinian control, “B” under Israeli security, civil and Palestinian administrative control, and “C” under Israeli civil, administrative and security control.
