Days of Palestine – Jerusalem

Israeli occupation forces stormed, at dawn on Sunday, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and assaulted those stationed in its courtyards, while successive groups of settlers stormed the squares of the mosque.

Our correspondent said that large forces of the Israeli occupation police attacked the worshipers inside it and beat them brutally amid chants calling for the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Local sources from Jerusalem reported that there were several injuries as a result of the Israeli attacks on worshippers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Fityani, media spokesman for the Emergency Department at the Red Crescent Hospital in Jerusalem, said that the Israeli occupation had prevented ambulance crews from entering the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He noted that ambulance crews are ready to transport the injured as soon as they enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Fityani reported several injuries among the worshippers due to the clash and the assault on worshipers with batons, explaining that the ambulance crews were able to take out and treat only one case so far.

He indicated that there are field medics inside Al-Aqsa Mosque. They deal with injuries first-hand in the field, meaning communicating with the Islamic Authority and the Red Cross to evacuate the injuries.

Israeli occupation forces forced the worshipers and the observant to evacuate the Al-Aqsa Mosque in preparation for the storming that the settlers intend to carry out during the day.

Meanwhile, our correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation forces allowed settlers to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque from the side of the Mughrabi Gate, and their number reached two thousand, according to the Jerusalem Endowment.

Israeli occupation forces attacked, tonight, young men who gathered near Bab Al-Amud in occupied Jerusalem, and they confronted a provocative march of settlers organized in the place.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli occupation forces beat a group of young men, arrested a number of them, and forced them to evacuate Bab Al-Amoud Square by force.

Israeli occupation forces deployed metal barriers in the Bab Al-Amoud area in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses reported that the deployment of iron barriers in the vicinity of Bab al-Amud coincides with significant incursions expected to be carried out by settlers on Sunday into Old Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

This comes in conjunction with the closure of Bab al-Amoud Square, Bab al-Sahira, and al-Masara, in preparation for facilitating the regular incursions of settlers tomorrow.

Jerusalem activists called for their presence in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Rabat to confront the regular incursions by settlers on Sunday.
