The official in the settlement file in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Douglas, said that a settler, driving a yellow Mitsubishi car, tried to run over a number of Palestinian citizens near the entrances to the towns of Burqa and Bazaria, north of Nablus.
He indicated that settlers are trying to impose a fait accompli in the area, and have been present almost daily in the evacuated “Homesh” settlement lands since 2005, south of Jenin, and carry out attacks against residents and vehicles on the road between Jenin and Nablus.
Last month, a Palestinian was killed after he was deliberately run over by an Israeli settler at Kafl Haris junction to the northwest of Salfit.
Sources confirmed that the Israeli settler deliberately ran over a Palestinian youth at Kafl Haris junction, killing him instantly. The youth was identified as Azzam Amer, from Kafr Qallil village in Nablus.
