The Israeli Occupation Court issued its final decision against two prisoners from Silwad town, east of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, on Sunday.

The Prisoners' Media Office stated that the Occupation Military Court had sentenced the prisoner Bajis Musa Hamed to 8 years of detentions and a fine of 4,000 shekels.

It also issued its decision against prisoner Ihab Ghassan Hamed, to be imprisoned for a period of 7 and a half years, in addition to a fine of 4 thousand shekels.

During his arrest in 2018, prisoner Ihab was beaten and tortured, as the soldiers pushed him to the ground, then beat him. This continued during the process of transferring him to "Ofera" camp and kept him in the open until dawn before he was transferred to the "Al-Maskobiyya" detention center.

The most recent reports indicate that the total number of Palestinian prisoners in the occupation prisons reached 4,184.

According to the occupation prisons administration, 2,676 prisoners were issued various sentences, and these constitute nearly two-thirds of the total. Among these sentenced prisoners, there are about 58 children, of whom 54 are sentenced to 16-18 years, and 4 others are between14-16 years in Israeli jails.

Moreover, 1496 prisoners are serving more than 10 years, of whom 174 are between 10-15 years, and 285 have from 15-20 years. There are also 494 prisoners serving more than 20 years and less than life sentence, and 543 prisoners are serving life imprisonment for one time or several times.

1180 prisoners were sentenced to less than 10 years in prison, including 829 prisoners, who received sentences between 3 months and less than 5 years, and 351 prisoners were sentenced from 5-10 years.
