DaysofPal- Ten Palestinians were injured on Friday evening after a wall collapsed near Khamis Abu Hasira Restaurant, close to Gaza City’s seaport, according to local sources.
Witnesses said the wall suddenly gave way, striking several people who were in the area and leaving ten injured.
The incident highlights the growing dangers posed by war-damaged infrastructure across the Gaza Strip. Since the start of Israel’s genocidal campaign, thousands of buildings have suffered extensive structural damage, leaving many at risk of collapsing without warning. Weather conditions, along with vibrations caused by ongoing airstrikes and daily demolition operations carried out by Israeli forces, have further weakened these structures.
The collapse comes as authorities continue to warn residents against entering or remaining near damaged buildings, many of which have been declared uninhabitable and pose an immediate threat to public safety.
Despite the risks, many Palestinians continue to shelter in their damaged homes, saying they have little alternative. For many families, remaining inside unstable buildings is considered preferable to living in worn-out tents that offer little protection from harsh weather and difficult living conditions.
