DayofPal—Israeli forces have expanded the so-called “yellow line” opposite the entrance to the Electricity Company in central Gaza Strip, bringing it to within just two meters of Salah Al-Din Road, the main highway that split the enclave to east and west.
The move comes amid ongoing military attacks in the area, with continued troop movements and changes to de facto boundary lines inside the Strip.
Eyewitnesses also reported gunfire north of the Nuseirat and Al-Bureij refugee camps, alongside artillery shelling and heavy fire from tanks advancing near Wadi Gaza bridge, in central Gaza Strip.
Military vehicles and Quadcopter drones were also seen targeting several areas inside the Al-Bureij and Nuseirat camps, including the dropping of explosives in eastern neighborhoods, with gunfire reaching civilian homes.
Heavy artillery shelling was additionally reported in the northeastern areas of Al-Bureij camp, as military attacks in the surrounding region continued.
Just Yesterday, Israeli forces reportedly moved the block markers known for the “yellow line” further east of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza.
Residents say the shift has resulted in the seizure of additional civilian land near Al-Tawashi Roundabout on Al-Sultan Street.
Witnesses described a tense overnight situation, with one resident saying that “10 dunums” of her family’s farmland were lost.
Last Month on the anniversary of Israel’s occupation of Jerusalem, Netanyahu celebrated widening the area swallowed by the “yellow line” in the Gaza Strip to cover more than 60% of the Strip is under Israeli occupation.
