DaysofPAL — A Palestinian teenage girl was killed and at least 16 civilians were injured early Friday in new Israeli violations of the ongoing ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which comes as part of the ongoing Israeli genocide against Palestinians in the besieged enclave.
Medical officials at Nasser Medical Complex reported that the casualties arrived following an Israeli helicopter strike targeting tents sheltering displaced families in the west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The victim was identified as 18-year-old Bushra Hani Hassan Al-Barahmeh.
The airstrike directly hit makeshift camps housing displaced civilians, resulting in multiple injuries in addition to the fatality.
Further incidents were reported across the territory. Israeli artillery shelled northeastern areas of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, accompanied by the firing of illumination flares.
In Gaza City, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of the city, while another Israeli vehicle advanced near Al-Sahaba Mosque in the Mawasi area of Rafah in the south.
The latest developments follow a deadly Thursday in which 12 Palestinian civilians were killed and around 25 others wounded in 17 reported violations of the fragile truce.
Despite a ceasefire agreement brokered by Arab and U.S. mediators and signed in Sharm el-Sheikh on October 10, 2025, hostilities have continued. Friday marks the 239th consecutive day of reported breaches.
According to official figures from Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 947 Palestinians have been killed and 2,935 injured since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025.
The broader toll from the Israeli genocide, which escalated on October 7, 2023, has now reached 72,956 fatalities and 173,043 injuries in the Gaza Strip, according to the same source.
