Four Killed in East Gaza Strike; 178 Days of Israeli Ceasefire Violations

DaysofPal – A Palestinian man was killed and several others wounded on Sunday following an Israeli airstrike on Khan Younis, while Israeli occupation forces continued repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip through ongoing shelling and heavy gunfire across multiple areas.

Abdullah Ahmad Abu Mustafa was killed when Israeli warplanes attacked the Garage Rafah area in Khan Younis, according to medical sources. Several other civilians were reportedly injured in the attack.

Local sources said Israeli artillery shelled the eastern and southern districts of Khan Younis early Sunday morning. Israeli military vehicles also opened fire east and south of the city, while artillery bombardment targeted areas east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

The escalation followed deadly attacks on Saturday evening. Mahmoud Abu Sisi was killed and several others wounded after Israeli shelling struck the vicinity of Abu Hussein School in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Two more Palestinians were later killed when an Israeli drone targeted a civilian vehicle on al-Nasr Street west of Gaza City. Medical officials at Al-Shifa Hospital identified the victims as Abdel Karim Nassar and Bahaa Barouz, adding that several others were injured in the strike on the civilian car in the Al-Nasr neighborhood.

Hospital sources across Gaza reported that at least 11 Palestinians had been killed and more than 60 wounded in Israeli strikes targeting Gaza City and northern parts of the enclave since Saturday evening.

Earlier reports from local sources said an Israeli helicopter fired toward areas east of the Bureij refugee camp while Israeli military vehicles simultaneously opened fire northeast of the camp. Israeli artillery also shelled Rafah in southern Gaza, while Israeli forces carried out demolition operations targeting buildings east of Khan Younis.

Israeli naval boats additionally opened fire along Gaza’s coastline while artillery shelling struck eastern Gaza City.

The attacks form part of ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, 2025. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, more than 870 Palestinians have been killed and approximately 2,543 wounded by Israeli fire and bombardment since the truce began.

Despite the ceasefire, Israel partially withdrew from several areas of Gaza while repositioning forces inside newly established military zones within the territory. These areas, referred to by Israeli forces as the “Yellow Line” zones, reportedly cover more than half of the Gaza Strip, according to statements attributed to the Israeli military.
