DaysofPal – Israeli occupation forces shot and wounded several civilians, including a woman and a child, on Saturday while continuing violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. These incidents were part of ongoing military operations that included the destruction of residential buildings, artillery shelling, and air raids.
A medical source reported that a young girl was struck in the head after Israeli forces opened fire randomly toward tents sheltering displaced families near the so-called Netzarim corridor in central Gaza.
Separately, in the al-Mughraqa neighborhood south of Gaza City, Israeli forces opened fire on displaced people’s tents, shooting a 60-year-old man in the foot.
Earlier, a local source confirmed that a woman was wounded by Israeli gunfire near the Austrian neighborhood in southern Khan Younis.
Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Rafah on Saturday morning. Israeli forces also demolished residential buildings east of Khan Younis while armored vehicles opened heavy fire in the same area.
An additional airstrike targeted eastern Gaza City, accompanied by intense tank fire east of the Zeitoun neighborhood. Israeli tanks also fired heavily toward areas east of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
In Rafah, Israeli aircraft launched air raids on the city while military vehicles fired intensively north of the area.
Since the ceasefire agreement took effect, Israeli violations have resulted in the killing of 617 Palestinians, including 194 children and 84 women, and the injury of 1,551 others.
More than 72,000 Palestinians have been killed, nearly 172,000 have been injured, and more than 8,000 have gone missing since the genocide began on October 7, 2023. Large-scale destruction has affected approximately 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure. The United Nations estimates the cost of reconstruction at around $70 billion.
