DaysofPal – Israeli occupation forces continued their violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip early Wednesday for the 109th consecutive day, carrying out airstrikes, artillery shelling, and detonating an explosive-laden robot in the north of the territory.
Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, while Israeli military vehicles opened fire north of Gaza City. Artillery shelling also targeted eastern areas of Khan Younis in the south, accompanied by heavy gunfire from military vehicles and two airstrikes southeast of the city.
In northern Gaza, Israeli forces detonated a booby-trapped robot in Jabalia refugee camp, causing further destruction and fear among residents.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Wednesday that five people were killed and six others injured as a result of the ongoing Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours.
In its daily statistical report, the ministry said Gaza hospitals received five fatalities, including four newly killed individuals and one body recovered from beneath the rubble, along with six wounded.
It noted that several victims remain trapped under debris or lying in the streets, while ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them due to continuous shelling and restricted movement.
The ministry reports that since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, there have been 492 fatalities, 1,356 injuries, and 715 recovered bodies. Cumulative figures since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, show that the death toll has risen to 71,667, while the number of injured has reached 171,343.
