DaysofPal – The Israeli occupation army claimed on Tuesday that 151 soldiers and officers have been killed since the beginning of 2025, according to statements issued by its official spokesperson.
The army alleged that those killed belonged to various branches of service, including regular forces, career soldiers, and reserve units. It said the deaths occurred during what it described as “security operations,” operational accidents, and traffic incidents, as well as cases attributed to illness or suicide.
According to the spokesperson, all of the deceased soldiers have been added to the Israeli military’s official list of fatalities since the start of the current year.
In a related context, Israel’s Ministry of Defense had previously claimed in October that the total number of Israeli army and security personnel killed since October 7, 2023, had reached 1,150.
The figure was reported by Israel’s Channel 12 and was said to include casualties from the October 7 events, as well as military operations in Lebanon and the occupied West Bank.
Backed by the United States, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in the killing of more than 70,000 Palestinians and the wounding of over 171,000 others, the majority of whom are women and children.
Although a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10 was supposed to bring an end to the war, Israel has continued to violate the truce on a daily basis, leading to hundreds of additional deaths and injuries. At the same time, Israeli authorities continue to restrict the entry of sufficient food, medicine, and humanitarian supplies into the besieged Gaza Strip, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian crisis.
