DaysofPal– Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF) said that newly introduced Israeli regulations for registering international non-governmental organizations may result in hundreds of thousands of Gaza residents being deprived of critical, life-saving medical care by 2026.
The organization explained that the new rules could trigger the cancellation of NGO registrations beginning Jan. 1, a step that would block international humanitarian groups, including MSF, from delivering vital services across Gaza and the West Bank.
According to MSF, the consequences would be particularly grave in light of the widespread destruction of Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure.
The group warned that losing access to skilled, independent humanitarian organizations would severely limit emergency response efforts and could turn into a “major catastrophe” for Palestinians.
MSF urged Israeli occupation to allow international NGOs to continue operating in Gaza without interference, stressing the importance of preserving an independent and neutral humanitarian presence.
“The already restricted humanitarian response cannot endure additional setbacks,” the organization said.
