DaysofPal – The bodies of three Palestinians killed in a deadly Israeli strike east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza were delivered to Nasser Medical Complex on Sunday. The attack marks yet another breach of the so-called ceasefire, reinforcing a pattern of ongoing Israeli assaults on civilians across the Strip.
According to local sources, Israeli warplanes launched a wave of strikes on the southern cities of Khan Younis and Rafah early Sunday, hitting areas both within and beyond the Green Line.
Bombing was reported southeast of Khan Younis and northeast of Rafah, while the Israeli army carried out demolition operations west and north of the city.
Israeli helicopters struck northern Rafah, and additional airstrikes were recorded in the southeast of Khan Younis. In Gaza City, at least one airstrike was launched east of the city, accompanied by tank fire targeting several neighborhoods in the east and north. No injuries were reported in those particular attacks.
The Gaza government media office stated earlier that Israel has committed 282 violations of the ceasefire resolution since it took effect, killing 242 Palestinians and injuring more than 620 others.
The latest killing underscores the broader reality: despite a ceasefire declared on 11 October 2025, Israeli forces have continued to conduct bombings, drone strikes, and artillery attacks across Gaza.
These events unfold against a devastating humanitarian landscape. More than 69,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 170,000 wounded since October 2023, creating one of the gravest civilian tolls in recent history.
A powerful winter storm further deepened the crisis. Torrential rain flooded thousands of tents sheltering displaced families, washing away scarce belongings and leaving entire communities exposed.
The United Nations reported that more than 13,000 families were affected, with many losing the last of what they owned after their shelters were inundated.
