DaysofPal – At least eight Palestinians have been killed and 13 others wounded in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours, Gaza’s Ministry of Health said on Monday, underscoring continued violence despite the declared ceasefire.
According to the ministry, Israel’s war on Gaza, ongoing since October 2023, has now killed at least 68,527 Palestinians and wounded 170,395.
In its latest update, the ministry reported that the total number of bodies recovered since the ceasefire was announced has reached 472, while 93 people have been killed and 337 others injured since the agreement took effect on October 10, 2025.
The ministry added that 72 of the 195 bodies handed over by the Israeli army through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have been identified so far. The exchange reportedly involved the remains of Israeli captives returned by Palestinian groups.
Health authorities warned that the actual death toll could rise further, as many victims remain trapped under rubble or in areas unreachable by ambulance and civil defense teams due to ongoing hostilities and destroyed infrastructure.
The Ministry of Health also called on the families of the dead and missing to provide information to help complete official records, as efforts to document casualties continue amid worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
