DaysofPal- Israeli attacks on Gaza have continued despite ongoing progress toward implementing a ceasefire agreement between the Israeli occupation and the Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas, dampening hopes among residents that the long-awaited truce would immediately bring an end to the Israeli war.
Medical sources stated that at least one person was killed and several others were wounded in Israeli strikes near Hamad City, northwest of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
A doctor at Nasser Hospital confirmed receiving casualties from the attack.
In Gaza City, a source at the Baptist Hospital said multiple Palestinians were injured after an Israeli drone strike targeted Yarmouk School, which had been sheltering displaced families in the western part of the city.
Over the past several hours, Israeli forces have launched a series of attacks across different areas of Gaza.
The Israeli forces, however, stated that they will continue to exist till they get instructions on the development in Gaza.
For Palestinians, the promised cessation of Israeli war offers a fragile sense of hope after two years of relentless bombardment and displacement by Israeli occupation forces.
Many residents say they are waiting to see whether Israel will honor the agreement and fully withdraw from the enclave.
Witnesses report that Israeli forces remain stationed in several urban centers, particularly in the southern and central parts of Gaza, where they continue to conduct limited operations.
Military analysts say the withdrawal process is likely to take time as the Israeli occupation finalizes internal approvals for the ceasefire.
While celebrations erupted in parts of Gaza following announcements of the deal, residents remain cautious.
For now, the skies over Gaza are still filled with the sound of drones, a reminder that the war is not yet truly over.
