DaysofPal-Hopes for a quiet night in Gaza were shattered once again as Israeli bombardment struck deep into areas previously designated as “safe zones”. Despite earlier announcements of a possible ceasefire and implementation of a peace deal, the reality on the ground told a different story.
Residents of Al-Zuwayda and Gaza City endured relentless attacks past midnight, lasting more than three hours. The roar of fighter jets and heavy artillery filled the air, leaving families traumatized and disoriented.
Many of the targeted areas included shelters for displaced civilians, including western Gaza City near al-Shifa Hospital, a key site of Israeli ground operations in recent weeks.
The sustained assault comes less than 24 hours after a ceasefire proposal was publicized. In that time alone, at least 70 Palestinians were killed, highlighting the ongoing intensity of the war.
