DaysofPal- The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza announced that Israeli occupation forces have continued their assault on the Gaza Strip despite growing international calls for a ceasefire.
According to GMO, Israeli warplanes and artillery launched more than 93 airstrikes over the past 24 hours, targeting densely populated residential areas and sites sheltering displaced families.
The GMO office stated that the attacks left 70 Palestinians dead, including women and children, with 47 of the victims killed in Gaza City alone.
It said that the ongoing Israeli attacks as part of “a continuous policy of genocide,” as the Israeli occupation is “ignoring international appeals for de-escalation while systematically destroying the foundations of life in the Strip.”
The GMO held the Israeli occupation “fully responsible for these crimes,” urging the United States and the international community to take “urgent and serious action to stop the aggression and enforce a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.”
Meanwhile, the Hamas Movement condemned the Israeli “massacres against civilians,” saying they expose the “falsehood of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s claims about reducing military operations.”
In a separate statement, Hamas said that the Israeli occupation forces “continue to commit horrific crimes against civilians,” resulting in the death of 70 Palestinians, including children and women, since Saturday morning.
The Movement stressed that the Israeli ongoing bloodshed “lays bare the lies of the war criminal Netanyahu’s government regarding any supposed reduction in attacks on defenseless civilians.”
