DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement has reacted to Israel’s attack on another school-turned-shelter, saying it was yet another war crime aimed at the “systematic extermination of our Palestinian people”.
It condemned the inaction of the international community and United Nations institutions, saying this “provides war criminal Netanyahu with the cover to continue his massacres and extermination”.
“This represents a resounding international failure in protecting humanity and enforcing international humanitarian law, which [Israel] blatantly tramples on and openly violates,” the group added.
In the last few hours, a tent, a school and a house have been hit.
The school was where displaced Palestinians were sleeping. They were sheltering there for months after being displaced from one place to another, and Israeli forces targeted the school at 3am (00:00 GMT).
At least six Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded. There are also a lot of displaced Palestinian families in that area. There were children and women, and it was a terrifying night for those people sheltering inside.
Two Palestinian children were killed in the tent that was targeted in an area that was very close to the Legislative Council in Gaza City, and this is in the heart of Gaza City, very close to downtown, and this area is now a makeshift camp.
This is another densely populated area that Israeli forces have targeted.
