DaysofPal- The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that 88 Palestinian civilians were killed and 421 were injured in hospitals over the past 24 hours due to the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.
According to the ministry, the total number of casualties since October 7, 2023, has reached 63,459 martyrs and 160,256 injuries.
Since 18 March 2025, the total number of martyrs and injuries has reached 11,328 martyrs and 48,215 injuries.
Among the “the starving victims”, the report noted that in the last 24 hours, 30 civilians were killed, and 166 injured by Israeli forces while they were trying to get food at aid distribution centers, bringing the total victims among the starving since the start of the Israeli war to 2,248 martyrs and over 16,600 injuries.
Since 2 March 2025, the Israeli occupation has closed all Gaza crossings, allowing only a very limited number of trucks carrying humanitarian aid, plunging the Strip into a worsening famine confirmed by the United Nations.
On 23 August 2025, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), affiliated with the United Nations, announced the spread of famine in the Gaza Governorate, stating that it currently affects over half a million people and could extend to Deir Al-Balah and Khan Yunis in the coming weeks.
With U.S. support, the Israeli occupation has been committing a genocide in Gaza since 7 October 2023, including killing, starving, destroying, and forcibly displacing civilians, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop.
The Israeli genocide has left 63,371 martyrs and 159,835 injured Palestinians, most of them children and women, along with over 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine that has claimed the lives of 333 people, including 125 children.
