Days Of Palestine – West Bank

Several Palestinian citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas fumes during clashes on Wednesday evening with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at the main entrance to Beita town, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Beita mayor Fouad Ma’aali said that Israeli soldiers intensively fired tear gas and stun canisters at young men protesting the US deal of the century at the entrance to his town.

Ma’aali added that seven young men suffered from inhaling tear gas and received on-site medical assistance.

He pointed out that the IOF deployed concrete blocks on both sides of the main road leading to the town a few days ago.

Similar violent clashes also broke out in Azzun town in the east of Qalqilya after local youths threw fire bombs at Jewish settlers’ cars on a road near the main entrance to the town.

Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that some private cars and one bus carrying settlers caught fire and sustained damage.
