DaysofPal- A wave of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip has killed at least 32 Palestinians since Thursday, according to local health and civil defense officials.

The latest round of attacks has intensified the ongoing humanitarian crisis, targeting residential areas and shelters for displaced civilians.

The Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza announced on Friday that 15 people were killed in two separate airstrikes. Among the victims were 10 members of the Baraka family, whose home in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis, was struck by Israeli forces. Mahmoud Basal, a spokesperson for the Civil Defense, confirmed the discovery of their bodies along with several injured residents.

Shortly after, Basal reported that another five individuals were found dead in two homes in Tal al-Zaatar, in the northern Gaza Strip, also hit by Israeli airstrikes.

Continued bombardment across the strip

The recent escalation follows a series of attacks that began on Thursday, which have left dozens dead and many more wounded. Medical sources report that at least 32 Palestinians have been killed since dawn on Thursday, including children. Gaza City and its northern neighborhoods have been hit the hardest, with 23 fatalities reported in those areas alone.

On Thursday evening, four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on a house in Jabalia al-Balad, while six others lost their lives in a separate strike on the Ayoubiya School in the nearby Jabalia refugee camp. The school had been serving as a shelter for displaced residents.

These attacks are part of a disturbing pattern of strikes on civilian shelters, including facilities run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). A previous airstrike targeted makeshift tents in Beit Lahia, killing seven people.

Israeli forces have renewed their aerial and artillery bombardment across multiple neighborhoods in Gaza City. Hours after a deadly attack on the Tuffah neighborhood, which killed 10 Palestinians, additional shelling hit the Al-Shaaf area, resulting in one death. Civil defense crews also recovered three unidentified bodies in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood.

In the Zeitoun area, a girl was injured by shrapnel from an Israeli drone strike, and the neighborhood was further subjected to artillery fire. Meanwhile, the Shujaiya neighborhood, already facing a week-long Israeli incursion, has witnessed continuous shelling, prompting mass displacement toward Gaza City’s center.

The violence is not limited to northern Gaza. In the central part of the Strip, two Palestinians were killed in a drone strike on Deir al-Balah, and another in the Nuseirat refugee camp. In Khan Yunis, Israeli shelling killed two people in the Manara neighborhood and another in the Qizan Rashwan area. A fourth individual succumbed to injuries sustained in Abasan al-Kabira.

One of the most tragic incidents occurred in the Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis, where shelling hit the tents of displaced families. Ten people, including seven children, an elderly woman, and a child with disabilities, were killed in the attack.

The recent escalation comes after Israel resumed its offensive on Gaza on March 18, following a breakdown in ceasefire negotiations. The Israeli government refused to proceed with the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, leading to a renewed and intensified military campaign.

Since the resumption of hostilities, approximately 1,700 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 4,500 injured, according to figures released by the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
