DayofPal– Over the past week, Israeli occupation forces and settlers have intensified their attacks in the northern Jordan Valley, carrying out assaults, raids, and even attempting to abduct a child.
Israeli forces targeted the Palestinian home of Abu Khairi family, attacking them during the night. They also planted structures around the family’s residence, set up a tent nearby, and physically assaulted the household members while attempting to kidnap one of their children.
The violence extended to the residents of Ain Al-Hilweh in the northern Jordan Valley, where Israeli forces assaulted a Palestinian, Ali Awad and demolished his tents.
In a further escalation, Israeli authorities issued an order to seize 8,437 dunams of land in the northern Jordan Valley, claiming it would be used for grazing land for settlers.
Meanwhile, a group of settlers stole cattle belonging to Mohammed Daraghmeh, a resident of Ain Al-Hilweh.
As attacks continue to rise, residents of Khirbet Samra and Wadi Al-Faw have faced ongoing harassment and provocations from both Israeli forces and settlers.
Since the beginning of 2024, settlers have committed more than 2,971 attacks on Palestinian citizens, 590 on their properties, and 676 attacks on their lands and agriculture.
