DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement has announced the resumption of indirect negotiations in Doha, Qatar, on Friday, aiming for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The Movement emphasized its commitment and seriousness in pursuing a swift agreement that aligns with the aspirations of the Palestinian people, primarily focusing on halting the ongoing aggression and ensuring the safety of Gaza’s residents amid what it describes as genocide and ethnic cleansing by the occupation forces.

In a statement issued on Friday evening, Hamas outlined that this round of talks would focus on achieving a full ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and the return of displaced individuals to their homes.

According to the statement, the talks will also address the logistics and details for implementing the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas further called for caution in the media, urging the public to avoid relying on leaks from unreliable sources designed to create confusion and exert undue pressure.

The Movement stated its ongoing efforts to engage with international and regional institutions, aiming to address the grave humanitarian crisis in Gaza exacerbated by the conflict. These efforts include breaking the humanitarian blockade and facilitating the delivery of essential aid, especially as winter sets in.

Hamas also condemned the Israeli occupation’s ongoing attacks on Gaza’s health system, describing them as part of a genocidal campaign against over two million Palestinians.

The destruction of hospitals and health centers, coupled with the targeting of medical staff, is viewed as a clear violation of international law. Hamas stressed that these actions, which include the killing and mistreatment of medical personnel, represent war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The group further criticized the international community, particularly the U.S. administration, for its support of Israel’s actions, accusing it of shielding the Israeli military from accountability. Hamas called on the global community to take decisive action against these violations, urging international institutions like the World Health Organization and the International Red Cross to intervene and protect Gaza’s health facilities and personnel.

Hamas called for immediate and practical steps to address the dire situation in Gaza, including the release of detained medical personnel and an end to the occupation’s violations against hospitals. It also demanded international observers be sent to monitor and protect Gaza’s medical infrastructure, calling for urgent medical supplies and fuel to be delivered to hospitals to save lives.

The Movement urged international bodies like the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League, and humanitarian organizations to send field hospitals and medical supplies to Gaza.

Hamas concluded by reaffirming its commitment to seek a ceasefire that halts the aggression safeguards Gazan citizens, and tackles the humanitarian crisis made worse by the occupation. The group remains focused on its mission to secure a peaceful resolution to the crisis, despite the ongoing violence and destruction.
