DaysofPal- The Israeli military launched dozens of airstrikes and artillery bombardments on different parts of Lebanon on Wednesday, marking the 38th day in a row that the war has been raging. Hezbollah fiercely resisted the ground invasion in several southern villages.
The southern Lebanon town of Khiam and the Litani River were attacked by Israeli warplanes on Wednesday morning. They also went after the southern Lebanon towns of Shama, Tayr Harfa, and Al-Jabeen.
Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike on the Jebour heights in Western Bekaa, according to the National News Agency.
Additionally, the Lebanese News Agency reported that an airstrike targeting a house in the old town of Al-Sharqiya in Nabatieh on Tuesday evening resulted in the martyrdom of eight citizens and the injuries of thirty-three others in a second airstrike on three buildings in the Haret Saida area.
The ongoing Israeli aggression since October 8 has resulted in 2,787 martyrs and 12,772 injured, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
“Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon in the past 24 hours resulted in 5 martyrs and 33 injured,” the Ministry of Health said in a statement on Monday night.
In defiance of international warnings and UN resolutions, the Israeli army has been extending its campaign of extermination since September 23 to encompass the majority of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, through unusually intense and violent airstrikes and a ground invasion in the south.
Hezbollah responds on a daily basis with rockets, drones, and artillery shells aimed at military bases and settlements. Some of Israel’s material and human losses are made public, but observers say that military censorship keeps the majority of losses strictly confidential.
