The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has cautioned that the Palestinian people in Gaza are eating, on overage, once every two days, casting light on famine crisis as a few amounts of aid trucks are allowed into the enclave.
According to UNRWA, there is a severe food shortage in Gaza, with 83 percent of required aid food is being blocked from reaching two million displaced Palestinians.
Since the onset of the war, 36 children have died of malnutrition, and the lives of 3,500 children are at risk due to Netanyahu’s starvation policy, which he uses as a weapon of war.
UNRWA also warned that the delivery of critical humanitarian supplies will be complicated for relief agencies as winter approaches, and may bring worsening conditions in light of damaged roads and war-ravaged infrastructure in Gaza.
“Despite the chronic lack of humanitarian supplies and constant challenges, UNRWA teams in Gaza continue reaching as many people as possible with critical aid,” it confirmed.
