Nasrallah: Israel’s Lebanon Attacks Crossed All Red Lines
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Hezbollah Cheif Hassan Nasrallah vowed Thursday to retaliate against Israel’s pager and walkie-talkie attacks in Lebanon this week, saying the “terrorist assaults have crossed all red lines”.

In a recorded video, Nasrallah said the blasts were a “big blow in terms of security and humanity”, yet have failed to bring the group to its knees.

Nasrallah deemed the two-day simultaneous explosions a “terrorist act” and a “declaration of war” against the people of Lebanon and the country’s sovereignty, reassuring that the resistance “infrastructure has not been touched.”

Despite that the attacks were “unprecedented in the history of the resistance movement in Lebanon” as well as “in the history of our country” and “our enemy”, Hezbollah group is undeterred in its fight against Israel, Nasrallah confirmed.

He added that Hezbollah would continue supporting Palestinians in Gaza “no matter what the consequences are, what the sacrifices are, what scenarios will unfold.”

Hezbollah’s continued backing of Palestinian resistance was welcomed by Hamas Movement.

The Hamas Movement said in a statement issued in Thursday it appreciates remarks by Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah after he reaffirmed “the resistance” in Lebanon will not stop supporting Gaza.

Hezbollah’s stance “is a blow to [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and his fascist government,” Hamas said.

Lebanon’s “sacrifices”, it added, will only help the fight towards Palestine’s “liberation”.

The blasts that took place over Wednesday and Thursday in Lebanon killed at least 37 people and injured more than 2,900 others, of whom 287 are in a critical condition.

Israel has yet to admit responsibility or comment on the blasts, but close sources to the military affirmed Israel was behind the two-day explosions.

In his speech, Hezbollah leader warned that Israeli settlers who had evacuated from the area near the south of Lebanon would not be allowed to return, challenging Israel newly added stated aim of war.

He also highlighted that Israel carried out its attacks in civilian places, noting that the devices exploded inside hospitals, markets, homes, and pharmacie as Israel had “wilfully” targeted 4,000 pagers and 1,000 walkie-talkies with the aim to kill as many people as possible, including women and children.

Nasrallah also stressed the assaults were partially foiled as “many devices were out of service, turned off [or] kept away”.
