Reports from Israeli Kan 11 has indicated that Israel has obstructed American investigators from obtaining testimonies or evidence from Israeli soldiers and officers who were involved in October 7.
This obstruction raised following concerns that such material could be utilized to prosecute them in American and international courts.
Within Israel, Unit 433 has cooperated with American investigators, permitting the collection of testimonies directly from witnesses who experienced the events of October 7.
Nonetheless, it was decided not to transfer the testimonies of approximately 700 soldiers, out of fear that these could be used against them in both American and international legal forums, according to a report published by Israeli Kan 11 on Thursday.
These testimonies were gathered as part of a national investigation and were intended to aid in the cooperation between Israel and the United States, which has led to alleged indictments against senior Hamas figures in the U.S.
However, due to concerns over potential legal repercussions, the testimonies of the soldiers were withheld.
