Israeli occupation authorities issued on Sunday a military order to size about 100 dunums of Palestinian-owned lands in Qaryut and Jaloud, two villages located south of Nablus in the West Bank, local sources said.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors settlement activities, told WAFA that Israeli authorities decided to seize 100 dunums of land in Qaryut and Jaloud villages in order to expand the nearby illegal Israeli settlement of Shilo.

He added that similar orders were handed to residents of Turmus Ayya village, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah.
Analysts recently said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is escalating the confiscation of Palestinian lands and the expansion of the illegal settlements as part of his efforts to appease Jewish settlers ahead of the upcoming general election on September 17.
