A senior Hamas source told Al-Jazeera that the resistance have “clear evidence” that Britain is contributing to the intelligence effort in Gaza in favour of Israel during the ongoing genocide.
The military sources has also reported that this intelligence effort is in partnership with the United States and has directly contributed to the killing of thousands of women and children in the Gaza Strip.
The statement comes amid growing concerns about the role of foreign powers in the offensive on Gaza, as evidence mounts of several war crimes and the crime of genocide.
This confirms British reports that British spy planes have recorded up to 1,000 hours of footage over Gaza, including on the day Israel assassinated three UK aid workers, according to Declassified UK.
It has also been revealed that the UK has conducted 200 surveillance flights over Gaza since December 2023.
In December, the UK Defense Ministry announced that it would conduct surveillance flights over Israel and Gaza “to provide intelligence to Tel Aviv as part of hostage rescue efforts”.
The ministry claimed that these surveillance aircraft were unarmed, did not have a combat role, and were solely tasked with locating Israeli prisoners.
The ministry emphasized that only “information related to Israeli prisoners rescue would be shared with the relevant authorities and that “the safety of British nationals was the government’s utmost priority”.
