Palestinian prisoner Bassam Al-Sayeh, a cancer patient from Nablus, is facing serious health conditions that have become much worse recently.
The Office of Prisoners Information reported, on Tuesday evening, that the prisoner Al-Sayeh is facing a serious health deterioration in the Israeli prisons, so he was transferred to the intensive care.
In a statement today, the Human Rights Office said that the occupation's prison administration informed the leadership of the captive movement that Al-Sayeh was transferred to intensive care after an additional serious deterioration in his health.
The statement pointed out that Al-Sayeh is suffering for years from cancer in the blood and bone, in addition to chronic disease in the heart muscle and pulmonary congestion (lung water).
It noted that the prisoner was recently transferred to Al-Afula hospital after his health deterioration.
Al-Sayeh was arrested on October 8, 2015, sentenced to life.
The Israeli occupation authorities are detaining in their prisons and detention centers and investigation of approximately 5700 Palestinian prisoners; including 1000 sick prisoners.
