The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported Wednesday, October 11the, 2023, that all Gaza hospitals’ capacities are completely running out of primary necessities, warning of a massive humanitarian crisis.
Dr. Yusuf Abu Al-Raish, the Ministry’s spokesperson, expressed the gravity of the situation, stating, “All hospitals’ beds, medications, and medical supplies have been on the verge of depletion.”
The Palestinian Ministry of Health further indicated that nearly 60% of the injuries and casualties resulting from the Israeli violent attack on Gaza were women and children.
This alarming development underscores the growing healthcare crisis in the strip due to the concerning increase in casualties.
Since the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation took place five days ago, over 980 Palestinians have been murdered and over 5,000 others injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
As the healthcare infrastructure in Gaza faces an unprecedented strain, local authorities, and international organizations are urged to take swift and comprehensive action to address this critical shortage of medical resources.
Earlier today, the Government Media Office in Gaza also said that the Strip is facing a humanitarian catastrophe, with the power station shutting down within hours due to running out of fuel.
The Israeli occupation has already cut off the water supply, food, electricity, and other essential supplies since the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation five days ago.
