The Palestinian resistance in Gaza has vehemently denied allegations of deliberately targeting children and women in their operations against military outposts in the Israeli settlements around the Gaza Strip, urging Western media to be precise in their coverage and avoid advocating misleading Israeli narratives.
In a statement today Wednesday, October 11, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas refuted all baseless claims and accusations propagated by Israeli and Western media regarding the targeting of Israeli children by Palestinian resistance fighters.
Furthermore, they have dismissed allegations of Palestinian militants beheading children and intentionally harming civilians, citing numerous videos that demonstrate the humane treatment of Israeli women and children by Palestinian fighters.
Hamas expressed concern over the clear bias shown by Western media outlets in favour of the Israeli propaganda, which they view as an attempt to cover up Israeli offences against Palestinian civilians, including the killing of hundreds of children and women.
“The Palestinian resistance, including the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of Hamas, targeted at the Israeli military and security apparatus in the ‘Storm of Jerusalem’ battle, which are legitimate targets. They simultaneously sought to avoid civilian casualties,” Hamas stated.
The statement continued, “This has been attested to by numerous field recordings and the testimonies of settlers themselves through various media outlets.”
It criticized Western media for failing to acknowledge the scale of Israeli aggression against the people of Gaza, which has entirely obliterated entire neighbourhoods and residential buildings without prior warnings.
The ongoing and intense Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip have resulted in the murder of 950 Palestinian civilians, including 260 children and 230 women, with more than 4,600 others injured.
Hamas has called upon Western media to maintain objectivity and professionalism in their coverage of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, urging them not to blindly adopt the Israeli narrative and to refrain from concealing Israeli occupation crimes.
