Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests and raids in various areas of the occupied West Bank on Monday morning, October 2, 2023.
The Prisoners’ Media Office reported that Israeli forces arrested eleven Palestinian citizens from cities and towns across the West Bank during the early hours of the morning.
Re-arrests
Local sources in Jenin reported that Israeli forces arrested five citizens, including the former detainee Qais Ara’rawi, and the young man Muhammad Al-Mubayyed from the Marah area, as well as the brothers Hassan, Hamza, and Hussein Hrazallah after raiding their home in the town of Ya’bad to the south.
In Nablus, Israeli forces arrested a young man from the city, Muhammad Bashkar, after raiding his family’s home in the Shu’fat neighborhood east of the city.
Additionally, Israeli forces arrested two young men, Mahmoud Radwan and Salah Awad, after raiding their homes in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces entered the town of Al-Issawiya in large numbers and arrested the following individuals: Kareem Ahmed Eid Ubayd, Muhammad Fawzi Ubayd, and Majd Wadi Ubayd.

Escalating Arrests
According to the latest statistics, Israeli forces arrested around 200 Palestinians in the West Bank during the past week, concentrating in the governorates of Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, and Jenin.
The current number of prisoners in Israeli jails, according to specialized institutions, is approximately 5,100, with more than 1,200 of them being administrative detainees.
