Israeli troops fired rubber-coated metal bullets at defenceless Palestinian citizens inside their homes while storming the Shu’fat refugee camp in occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
According to local Palestinian sources, Israeli armed units raided the Ras Khamis neighbourhood in Shu’fat and deployed between the Palestinian houses, terrifying their residents and creating tension in the area.
Israeli forces reportedly attacked Palestinian children in the streets and fired live and rubber-coated bullets at them.
In retaliation, those kids threw small stones at the armed soldiers trying to prevent them from storming their homes.
Consequently, confrontations broke out where Palestinian citizens went out of their homes and defended themselves by throwing small stones at the Israeli forces and military tanks.
Daily, Israeli troops storm the Palestinian cities and towns of the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, detaining, killing, and injuring citizens there.
Last July only, they detained 530 Palestinian citizens, including 42 kids and 8 females, during many military raids across occupied Palestine.
Since the beginning of 2023, at least 227 Palestinian people have been killed by Israeli forces in military attacks across occupied Palestine, including 37 Palestinians killed in the latest assault on the Gaza Strip last May.
