Israeli occupation forces demolished on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, a park and uprooted trees in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, located west of Salfit.
Ibrahim Assi, the mayor of Qarawat Bani Hassan, said that Israeli forces raided the area known as “Bir Abu Ammar,” located to the northwest of the town. The group proceeded to demolish the park, destroy industrial well casings, damage lighting poles, vandalize benches, dismantle solar power cells, and destroy the surrounding woodlands.
The “Bir Abu Ammar” area has been subjected to ongoing violations by Israeli forces and settlers, who are attempting to seize the area for the establishment of a settlement outpost at its expense.
