A number of Palestinian rights groups revealed on Saturday shocking statistics about Israeli aggression on Palestinians during Al-Aqsa Intifada which broke on September 29, 2000.
Late Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who was responsible for Sabra and Shatila massacre, decided to reinforce Israeli domination over the third holiest place on earth for Muslims –Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Accompanied with 2,000 soldiers from the Special Forces of the Israeli army, he raided the holy site and desecrated its sanctity.
The Palestinians did not bear to see their first qibla be desecrated by the Israel begs and threw him with stones, pushing him and his 2,000 soldiers out.
During this very short revolution, the Israeli Special Forces killed six Palestinian worshipers and wounded hundreds others, triggering a Palestinian uprising dubbed the Second Intifada or Al-Aqsa Intifada.
According to the Palestinian and international rights groups, the Israeli occupation killed 4,412 Palestinians, wounded up to 150,000 others and arrested 113,000 Palestinians, including 1,930 women, 15,670 children and 62 MPs.
The illegal Israeli military courts issued and renewed more than 29,000 administrative detention orders against the Palestinians during the same period.
Rights groups say that there are currently more than 6,500 Palestinians inside the Israeli jails, including 62 women and girls, 350 boys and more than 400 patients.
