The Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies (PCPS) stated Saturday, May 6, 2023, that the number of Palestinian detainees’ children, who were born through sperm smuggling, known as “Freedom Ambassadors”, has risen to 117 children, after the Palestinian detainee Ahmed Al-Shamali’s wife gave birth to two twins at once today.
PCPS reported that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained Ahmed Al-Shmali, 38, from the Al-Shujayya town in the besieged Gaza Strip, on August 2, 2008, and the Israeli court sentenced him to 18 years in prison.
The detainee Al-Shamli is now in the Israeli Nafha prison.
According to the center, Al-Shamali has successfully experienced sperm smuggling, as his wife gave birth to two twins in good condition, who are three males and a female, and named them (Abdul Rahman, Kinan, Rayan, and Najah), which raised the number of “Freedom Ambassadors” to 117.
The Palestine Center indicated that the detainee Al-Shamali has been suffering from difficult health conditions due to the deliberate Israeli policy of medical negligence against him, as he suffers severe infections in the urinary tract and recurrent bouts of renal colic.
Al-Shamali has spent 15 years of his sentence in Israeli prisons so far.
The head of PCPS, Reyad Al-Ashqar, stated that the Palestinian detainee Al-Shamali’s experience with sperm smuggling is the first among other detainees who succeeded to have new babies in this way, as he had 2 twins (4 kids) at once.
He added that the Palestinian detainees who experience sperm smuggling inside Israeli prisons reach 75, 55 from the West Bank, 13 from Gaza, 6 from Occupied Jerusalem, and one from 1948-occupied Palestinian territories.
Al-Ashqar confirmed that the Palestinian detainees proved by sperm smuggling that detaining them by the Israeli occupation for years will never ever kill their dreams to bring new kids to life.
