An Israeli military court indicted on Monday Palestinian girl Ahed Tamimi, 16, for slapping two heavily armed Israeli soldiers who refused to leave courtyard of her house in West Bank village of Nabi Salih.
Meanwhile, the same Israeli military court indicted Nariman Tamimi, Ahed’s mother, for assaulting two heavily armed Israeli soldiers, as well as for inciting violence on social media.
On Sunday, an Israeli military court also indicted Nour Tamimi, Ahed’s cousin, for slapping two heavily armed Israeli soldiers.
Israeli occupation forces raided the houses of the two Israeli girls on 19 and 20 December and abducted them at night. In the day, when Nariman went to the police station to ask about her daughter, she was captured.
The two girls were abducted on day after appearing in a video, which went viral on social media, showing them pushing two heavily armed Israeli soldiers from the courtyard of their house and when they refused to go out, the two girls slapped them.
Ahed, her cousin and her mother were also indicted for hindering the operations of the Israeli occupation forces.
When the video became online, the Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman called for the girls to spend their life in prison.
Later on, a senior Israeli journalist called for raping them “to prove that they are females,” claiming that they “stand up the face of the Israeli soldier considering themselves men.”
