The Israeli occupation court in Salem camp sentenced the prisoner, Ziyad Abu Al-Rub, from the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, to two years in prison, and imposed a fine of 4000 shekels on him, according to what the director of the Prisoners Club in Jenin, Montaser Sammour, Today, Monday.
Sammour pointed out that Mohamed, Ziad’s brother, has been detained since 2017 and sentenced to life.
Arbitrary improvement has been a strategy of the Israeli occupation that aims to make life in the Palestinian territories unbearable in order to encourage the population to ‘naturally’ migrate to other countries.
It’s worth mentioning that the imprisoned Palestinians are subjected to different forms of torture in the Israeli prions and are often denied the right to visitation and/or confined to unjustified solitary arrest.
The number of Palestinian prisoners (as of July 17th) has reached 4650 prisoners among which 650 of which are administrative detainees, who are illegally held inside the prison without a right to a trial or being informed of the length of their sentence or what they are persecuted for, and 30 of women.
