Days of Palestine, West Bank –During an arrest campaign, Israeli occupation forces killed 21-year-old Mohamed Alawneh in the village of Burkin near Jenin.
Witnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces shot live bullets directly at the chest of Alawneh. He immediately collapsed and covered with blood.
A Palestinian ambulance evacuated him to the hospital in Jenin for treatment and later succumbed to his wounds.
Based on accounts of witnesses, Palestinian youths posted on Facebook the news about an Israeli raid to the village.
People took to the streets in the centre of the village and started throwing stones at the Israeli tanks and armoured vehicles.
“Alawneh was killed with a cold blood,” an eyewitness said while tears descending from his eyes. “He was shot from a very close distance.”
During the raid on the village, security forces arrested Mohammad Atiq, 22, from Burkin. In another raid in the nearby Jenin, security forces arrested Yasser abu-Jaafar, also 22.
