Days of Palestine, West Bank –An Israeli woman was stabbed to death on Monday evening near an illegal Israeli settlement in occupied West Bank.

Witnesses said that a female settler aged 25 was stabbed by a Palestinian at a bus stop at the entrance to the illegal Israeli settlement of Etzion in the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil.

The woman was stabbed in the neck and the Israeli paramedics immediately announced she was dead.

Two other illegal Israeli settlers were also wounded; one suffered moderate to light injuries and the other, according to the Israeli medical sources, suffered light inures.

A guard in the illegal Israeli settlement, who observed the incident, shot the Palestinian attacker leaving him with serious injuries.

Initial reports said he was killed, but Israeli medical sources said he is still alive.

Witnesses said that the Palestinian man attempted to run the three illegal settlers over, but when he failed, he left his car and stabbed them.

Causes of stabbing

Palestinian sources said the attacker is from the Palestinian city of Al-Khalil, where the illegal settlement bloc of Etzion and other settlements were built.

Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 600 Palestinian citizens from Al-Khalil during the last five months.

Almost every day, the Israeli occupation forces carry out inspection and arrest campaigns in the Palestinian occupied city and other cities in the West Bank.

Just three weeks ago, an illegal Israeli settler ran over two Palestinian kids, killed one and the other is still in hospital suffering serious conditions.

Palestinians have been angered with the Israeli daily desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the violations being carried out against Palestinian worshipers.
