Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –Israeli warship shot on Monday live fire at the Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources said.
Head of fishermen federation Nizar Ayyash said that a number of fishermen reported being shot at during their work inside the sea. Residents of the Gaza city reported they had heard sounds of gun fire inside the sea.
According to Israeli sources, the Israeli navy shot warning fire in the air just to stop the Palestinian fishermen from crossing the limit of six nautical miles agreed upon in the ceasefire deal that ended the 51-day Israeli war on Gaza.
Israeli website Walla said that the Israeli navy has fired warning bullets at the Palestinian fishermen six times since the ceasefire deal took place.
